You don't have to go to the gym to get exercise.  Even 30 minutes to an hour of walking, daily, can get your heart rate up and help you lose weight.  Ideally, you want 30-60 minutes 5 times a week of rigorous aerobic exercise, but if you can't fit that in, that's okay. The key is to get regular physical activity.  Where exercise is concerned, something is always better than nothing.

Alter your diet

You can make small changes to your diet without needing to resort to eating yogurt and celery all the time, or spend exorbitant amounts on diet foods and pills.  By incorporating healthy choices into your diet (for example, a whole wheat turkey sandwich with fruit for lunch instead of eating fast food or something junky), you can improve your health AND see weight loss results.

Try a detox diet

"Detox" is a common term heard among dieters these days.  A detoxification (detox) diet is basically a way to cleanse your body of excess toxins by fasting or eating very little for a week or more.  Usually, detox diets have you ingest only liquids (soup, juice, water) so that your body can focus on cleansing itself.  Practically instantaneous weight loss is a common result of these diets, as you'll quickly lose water weight, though it takes at least a day before you'll start burning excess fat.

 Intermittent fasting

This is another method of "dieting" that's becoming increasingly popular.  Intermittent fasting is basically going for long periods of time (15-24 hours) without food, and then eating larger amounts of food after the fast is over.

 For example, you might only eat once a day, in the morning or evening, but eats a large amount at your desired eating time.  Intermittent fasting is arguably the best way to lose weight fast eating your favorite foods because if you only eat once a day, you don't have to worry so much about calorie counting.  You'll naturally eat less if you only eat once a day.  The downside to this method is that you may feel sluggish until you get used to it.

Protein is Your Friend

You see a lot of diets these days that focus on the things you should NOT be eating.  Diet gurus tell you not to eat carbs, not to eat fats, not to this or that, but they rarely emphasize the things you SHOULD be eating.  This is a shame, since it's what you DO eat that has a major impact on your results at losing weight fast.
